Cell migration assay on topographically modified substrates

Contact angle on PDMS before and after plasma treatment and collagenisation

To establish a cell migration assay with adherent cells, micropatterned elastomers (PDMS) were modified in terms of the surface properties.

The behavior of fibroblasts on hydrophobic, hydrophilic and additionally collagenised PDMS was then evaluated as well as the characteristics of the PDMS itself.
