Polyurethan as a substrate for polyelectrolyte-multilayers and the effect of different final layers on cell proliferation
Polyurethanes (PU) play an important role as a biomaterial because of their good physical and biocompatible properties. As they are often used for implants, PU should have a supporting influence on cell viability. A way to improve that are surface modifications.
The Layer-by-Layer-technique is a method to coat surfaces with polyelectrolyte-multilayers (PEM), which allow the creation of different surface properties.
